The governance of patient safety – What all boards need to know? (video)

The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) has published a video in which Andrew Corbett-Nolan, Director of the Good Governance Institute and Jonathan Hazan, Chief Executive of Datix, discuss their joint report on guidelines for the NHS in regard to patient safety.

Their report pre-dates Monitor’s recent publication on boards and patient safety and viewers are advised that the video, in addition to being an interesting and informative perspective on boards and patient safety, does also appear to be an advertisement for the commercial Datix patient safety software package.

Has the GII fallen out with Dynamic Change? I wonder who their next sponser, sorry – research partner will be?

If only Datix had been involved in NPfIT – sounds like they have all the answers to ‘easily’ sharing patient data between referrer and multiple providers and we wouldnt have a national scheme about to get canned at £6bn over budget!
