The National Audit Office (NAO), Mazars and the NED special interest group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) are jointly hosting a one-day event designed for non-executive directors in the public sector.
According to the NAO, “Successful boards improve their organisation’s performance. But the range of objectives and stakeholders can mean achieving organisational improvement is more difficult in the public sector.”

Professor Sir Andrew Likierman (Dean of the London Business School);
Amyas Morse (Comptroller and Auditor General, Head of the National Audit Office); and
Eric Anstee (Non-Executive Director of the Financial Reporting Council and various boards and former Chief Executive of the ICAEW).
Date: 28 September 2009
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm (followed by networking drinks)
Venue: Chartered Accountants’ Hall, London
Cost: £235.75 including VAT (price includes membership of the ICAEW’s NED special interest group until 31 December 2009).
